I'm a Barbie Girl

Most of you reading this are pretty girly. Just admit it. And accordingly, I bet you played with dolls. Though I never quite understood the purpose of it; I did it too. Dressing them up in whatever I could find, cutting their hair (I give a mean Barbie Buzz cut) and vocalizing the Barbie fantasy life ("Oh, Ken! How I love you so!). This is all fine and acceptable at age 6, but 16 or 21? Not so much. Until now. LOOKLET(.com) is a new website that has painstakingly made available the opportunity to dress up models online. But this isn't a game. Looklet allows you to dress your model in Marc Jacobs, Cheap Monday, Diane von Furstenburg or Ralph Lauren. You can dress them from underwear to outwear; from head to toe or choose to remix an existing look. I've created the one below and you can search for others by me by searcing B3BLOG. It's summertime and you HAVE to be sick of the validated voyeurism of Facebook (with the exception of being a B3 fan). And of course, you following Bargain Beauty Baby on Twitter, right? (twitter.com/b3blog) So, when it's all said and done mosey on over to Looklet and create a look. It's a 2009 way of holding on to your inner Peter Pan. Oh and you mean little Tinkerbell's? You can play too.

She's baaaaacccckkkkkkkkkk!

What did it take to get me back to the keyboard? SEX. Sex and the City, the movie that is. How could I consider myself a connoisseur of couture without having seen this iconic fashion film? I'm not quite sure. I also don't know how I survived almost two decades on this earth without this movie in my life, because I will never be the same. Thank you Carrie Bradshaw for bringing me back. Thank you loyal readers, for welcoming me back. Thank you Ann Taylor for creating the second reason for my radiant return: the leopard printed sheath I've been feigning for since it leaped off of the pages of Marie Claire and Harper's Bazaar. Or was it Elle? They are all fabulous and this dress is certainly no exception. The color. The shape. The print. The price. Oh actually no, I got a little ahead of myself. Not the price. At $160 plus tax it's certainly no "bargain" but an investment piece no less. Not that yours truly has any funds for "investing" as I've been "building my wardrobe" (read: buying clothes almost everyday) and am actually a bit scared to check my back account. None the less, it is my new found friend Express that has an alternative to my coveted Ann Taylor sheath. A 3/4 wrap dress in the black and grey leopard that will just have to suffice. Until we (my finances and my decision making skills) meet again; Auf Wiedersehen, Adieu (to you and Ann Taylor too!)

Broken Record? I hope not!

If you've opened a magazine lately you've most likely seen a jumpsuit or, as my friend "A" prefers, romper. Some might think of them as constraining or rather prison-esque. But hey! What's so wrong with prison chic? Of course I'm only kidding. I'm in no way condoning rocking the behind the bars look. But no one is asking you to suit up in blackand-white stripes or an orange get-up. Today's jumpsuits are fierce. Some are swanky; others safari, but nonetheless, they're everywhere and I think it's about time to get one! With heels on a date or a night out with the girls, the jumpsuit, according to Celeste, is a welcome break from too short skirts (gag!) or shirts with jeans. The one I've pulled for this post is a black shirred off-the-shoulder from asos.com. It's $39.08 and the shoes I've picked are $26.57 so for only $65.65 and a groovy belt, you have the perfectly "unique" (kind of hate that word) date outfit that's sure to turn heads. Not to mention have people rushing to their Blackberries googling "black jumpsuit" to follow... suit. (Sorry for the pun). Until yours comes in the mail or is covering your tail: Happy Struttin'!

What does vintage mean?

I openly admit that college has made me an online shopaholic. Luckily for me and my bank account most of that is window shopping and whenever I like to open a new window with a particular item in mind, I head straight to my fave sites including eBay. I stumbled upon another vintage store on Wednesday that I am now absolutely enamored with. I'm new to vintage and I used to typically think of vintage as tacky old garments that are being glorified as worthy of being worn again by whoever is bold enough to do so. Sometimes it works. Sometimes it doesn't. Although I love Kingston Avenue Vintage some of the stuff for auction is just a hot and holy mess. But that's okay. On the other hand, Tin Roof Vintage has far less mess. On the downside the prices are quite a bit higher. The average garment at KAV probably sells for around $12 bucks whereas the prices at TRV are closer to $40. But as always, I think it's necessary to look at the quality of the garment, the chic factor and PPW (price per wear) not to mention how much your beautiful, beating heart thinks it's worth. I'm bidding on the blue and white dress pictured. Don't be afraid to spend a little more on a one-of-a-kind piece that couldn't dare be duplicated at a party or that people will fawn over and ask where you got it; to which you can coolly reply, "Oh, it's viiinnnntage."

Can't Touch This!

Dun nun nun nuh! Nuh nuh! Nuh Nuh! Can't touch this! Hammer pants or Harem pants as they're known in the fashion world slowing creeping back onto the scene. I took a leap and bought some back in January and though I have yet to wear them, mine are army green and not like the tacky "drapey" mess that you often see on the racks. I believe they are the style of tomorrow and push my fashion boundaries... but not over the edge! I wish I knew exactly what to wear with
these pants, or where to wear them. Lucky Magazine features them often and I should attempt to soak up that knowledge but I can't quite say that I think I've mastered the look and refuse to step out of Mark Twain dormitory without an outfit that evokes the confidence needed to make my hips switch just a bit. So, lovely reader, I'm putting it in your hands. Tell me how you think harem pants should be worn or send me a link is you've seen them rocked well somewhere. The ones featured here are from Forever 21 but I wanna see them styled! I'm not the guru and I don't try to pass myself off to be. I'm just a shopaholic magazine editor wannabe with ten fingers to type my thoughts. So I'm handing it over to you. In case you've forgotten: email bargainbeautybaby@gmail.com or write on the Bargain Beauty Baby facebook wall! Harem Time!

Make a statement....

I've recently been wanting to cut my hair and thus, I've been fawning over pictures of Taraji P. Henson at the Oscar's. The cut is dynamic! But as you've come to know this isn't a hair blog. Ms. Henson rocked that hair like nobody's business but she also flaunted some major rocks around her neck. The statement necklace is bold, beautiful, and chic. I prefer a statement necklace with a solid colored outfit of simple print because the necklace shouts from the collar. There's lots of them on eBay and if you pick up this month's People Style Watch they burst off the colorful pages. I'm keeping my eye out for the perfect one while I'm here in Missouri, but when I get home to Texas it's straight to my grandmother's vintage and costume jewelry collection I go! Amethyst! Ruby! Jade! She has 'em all and I'll be just like a kid in a candy shop just as soon as you can say, "Welcome to the Lone Star State!"

Supply and Demand

Ever since I was a little girl, I've loved the couture world. I'd spend my allowance [beginning at the tender of seven] on gianormous Vogue magazines and pour over the glossy pages longingly. Over the years I've paid more attention to the astronomical prices but loving the creations nonetheless. I understand the craftsmanship, and fabulousity deluxe of the couture gowns and wonders of design. But what about a plain pair of Michael Kors pants? Or a St.John's nautical sweater? These fashion houses command hundreds of dollars per garment for what? I think that the garments should only be deserving of the big bucks if they are Italian, French or American made ("Made in China" isn't acceptable for designer dinero in my book). They should also be rich in quality, craft, creativity or down right spectacular in nature. But, we still love these brands despite their sometimes money-hungry nature. So! Though I can't explain why the prices are so jacked up, I CAN show you some top-secret ways of getting the price down. I've recently been informed of some websites that are invitation only: some featuring ridiculous sample sales and others that bring to your inbox the brands of your choice and alerts of when they go on sale at a sundry of sites. Interested? You have two choices: send me an email at bargainbeautybaby@gmail.com or become a fan of Bargain Beauty Baby on Facebook and write it on the wall. Happy Shopping!

Dreaming of ShYOUs

Okay readers. I haven't updated in over a week for three reasons: 1) spring break 2) I'm starting a non-profit 3) I've been just dreaming of shoes. Boots! Flats! Heels! I've been dreaming of shoes, shoes, shoes! I've been googling and eBay watching this particular pair that my cousin so graciously received from her sister. She showed up at my niece's rodeo wearing them and all the horses just stopped in their tracks and neighed in approval! Okay, okay, so maybe it was all in my head but I'm loving these Coach Whitley boots from last season and despite their almost $400 price tag, they are out of season so hopefully I'll find them cheaper and I will not rest until I get them! I'm also loving the woven show look, and boy does Victoria's Secret have plenty of pairs online! Well, dearest reader, I have three papers to write so I must keep this short. Until we meet again... Happy Struttin'!

The world must be reading.....

The world of spring chickens must be reading this blog because much to my dismay, the dress that I shamelessly salivated over on Saturday and returned for on today (Monday) was sold out online AND in virtually every Charlotte Russe store in the metroplex. Trust and believe however that I'll be calling back everyday until it shows up in its shipment. But I suppose that means ya'll are getting some spring in your step and heeded my advice to go bolding into the land of happy, sunny colored garments. And I guess I can't be mad at that. But I'd love to be able to be proud of my loyal readers while looking cute my dern self! Oh well. I'll get mine and be less bitter soon enough. Okay, okay, I'm not bitter; it's just a dress. (Gasp. Is that a hint of maturity coming along?) I'll be shelling out the $28 bucks plus my little ol' taxes on it soon enough.

Spring Fever!

I'd love to apologize for not updating recently, but I simply can't apologize for frollicking in the sunny spring weather. SPRING IS HERE! And I've been camping, ripping and running and haven't had a second to think about my wallet, my closet or my style; all of the things that provoke me to write each time. The birds are chirping, the butterflies fluttering about and the daffodils beginning to blossom. So I suppose dear reader, that's it's time for you to blossom as well. If you're one of my loyal Mizzou readers, shed those god awful parkas we've been wearing and show some skin! (Tastefully of course!) And those of you from coast to coast and country to country (I'm international now, can you believe it!?!?!), you have a head start in getting that razor out to get those legs ready for spring! I wanna see you beautiful ladies in bright and cheery dresses. If there's a chance of rain, don't you fret! Turn that frown upside down, and smile at the chance to throw on a colored trench. Colored trenches are my favorite for spring and I favor pink or purple for this season, but who cares what I favor?!?!? Go blue! Go green! Go BOLDLY into the unknown! I've pulled for you two super chic, pretty cheap option from Old Navy. The dress is $15 and the trench is $50 which isn't exactly a "bargain" but it's bound to be good quality and if you think of it in PPW- price per wear, it'll all even out, bargainistas! Happy frollicking!

All my single ladies! All my single ladies!

Ladies! I say post this at the risk of being redundant... this may look alot like recent post "Couture/College Part 2" But I'm seeing a pattern happening more and more... High dollar shoes like Jessica Simpson and a counterpart that often times looks BETTER than the original at a fraction of the price. Someone in my dorm was so sweet as to give me a 30% off coupon to the GAP family of stores and thus, I headed straight to piperlime.com. Mama needed a new pair of shoes! I actually don't own a pair of brown heels with the exception of some fab wedges so I actually had a mission. I found the Steve Madden Vulture Oxford Booties displayed above and was smitten immediately. They were "on sale" for $59.99 but my coupon would take $18 off.... that was acceptable I thought and waited a bit for the timeframe when my coupon was valid. While waiting I decided to check my bff eBay and lo and behold! The pair of brown oxford booties with cute detailing, black laces and pictures from every angle... brand new in the box, shown below. Oh, you know what comes next. An astounding low price. $14. Yes, single ladies. FOURTEEN DOLLARS! Some of you eBay-phobes, like to shun my dear friend eBay because you think you have to to bid... But that's not the case. Some listing are "Buy it now" and you can pay with PayPal for a safe and secure transaction.

I post this as a warning. Just because it glitters, doesn't mean it's gold. Or the golden nugget, I might say. Think to venture elsewhere in the search for that perfect shoe or purse or trench. Stores like Old Navy put EVERYTHING on sale eventually. Be patient young grasshoppers and seek and you shall find.

Kingston Avenue Vintage. Total RO Alert!

I have fallen head over heels in love.

With Kingston Avenue Vintage that is. (This isn't a romance site, it's a fashion site! Didn't you know?!?!!) KAV is an eBay store to whom I now pledge allegiance. I've never bought vintage before but stumbled upon this gem of a site and didn't think much about it. But an embroidered tunic caught my eye, and then another, and I let the bidding begin! I lost one of the tunics for lack of desire to bid again but won the second at a whopping total of $12.00. At only $12 I didn't quite know what to expect, but just a short bit after checking out the garment was in my mailbox and in my hands. Allow me to say, Cindy and Stuart at KAV are an example of why we should support the small business. How do I know they are Cindy and Stuart? Because they wrapped my dress up in ribbons and bows with a handwritten note thanking me personally for my business. They even drew me a cute little picture! Now, let me not contradict myself. Modcloth packaged their products well; albeit not personally. But the problem with my earlier post about Modcloth was that despite all the bells and whistles of the packaging the product was unacceptable. That was not the case with KAV. The dress was in immaculate condition, which an unexpected bi-colored base fabric and embroidery for the ages. I couldn't wait to try it on! I did shortly there after wearing the tunic as a mini-dress with a big, wide belt. Tre chic! Kingston Avenue Vintage won me over and I'd buy from them again and again!

RO Alert! LAMA mama!

I'm sorry loyal readers! I've been slackin' on my bloggin! But I'm back... despite the gloomy cloud of doom known as: midterms! DUN-DUN-DUN!!!!!!! Speaking of midterms, I find myself on my zebra-printed macbook every second of my life. I fall asleep with my hand lingering over the keyboard. So, my baby bookie should be protected right? Why not do it in STYLE? Laptop sleeves are expensive these days. A soft black one that I had my eye on in the book store that was otherwise plain despite it's velvety pink lining was $30. Who's gonna see the pink but me? So... for thirty bucks, Mizzou still has it hanging proudly on it's shelf. Needless to say I was delighted when I found this laptop sleeve on LAMA designs. (www.lamadesigns.com). It's a quite little online store that has great stuff for your home, office and body. It was featured in Lucky Magazine in January and I slept on it (when it was on sale) but I think I might just have to cough up the cash for this stylish sleeve. Gotta protect our goods!

Couture/College Part 2

I recently saw Confessions of Shopaholic and of course loved it. But now, each time I get ready to type a sentence I feel so... dramatic! I want to tell you, sweet reader, that shoes are my favorite accessory because they can be fierce yet fun, sexy yet sophisticated and transform any outfit leaps and bound... hope that didn't sound Oscar-worthy! I'm notorious for throwing on a plain sweater dress with a contrasting yet cohesive heel and painting the town. (Or not, but... feeling fab enough to paint the town if said occasion were to present itself!). So this C/C is focused on the ever important and drool-worthy high heel. A true couture heel would be a Ferragamo (delicious!), Louboutin (sinful!) or Choo (classic!) but as college students $90 is a bit too much to spend on a shoe... thus, I've presented you with two comparable shoes. Both gladiator or cage look, both structured similarly. However, one is $39 and the other $89. Can you guess which is which?
Top or bottom?

The top one is Jessica Simpson Collection ringing in at $89 and the bottom, courtesy of flyjane.net (not .com!) was it's $39 counterpart. Honestly, all else equal I like the FlyJane's the better. I love the details, the edgy zippers, the fierce platform, and overall sleekness. What do you think? By the way, I know all my readers aren't college students. That doesn't mean that some of you (no need for red cheeks) aren't skimping on a ramen noodle budget. I understand champagne taste on a Kool-Aid budget. No problem! Maybe this feature should change from Couture/College to Champagne and Kool-Aid. Just bloggin'.....

Retail Me Not....[Not so] Recent Obsession....

I feel like I'd be depriving you dear reader, if I've been online shopping this week, getting discounts and not divulging such deliciously helpful information. I live in a college town and Columbia, Missouri doesn't exactly have the greatest shopping. So I look to the world wide web for my primary shopping source. I love to browse and "Window Shop" [in a different sense], but before I buy anything, I check http://www.retailmenot.com/.

Type in the store that you're opening your wallet to and there's a good chance that you can save a some dollars before you leave the site. Tom's shoes? 25% code! Victoria's Secret? Tons of codes! Just enter them in the "promotion code" or "coupon code" box at checkout and you just saved your self money in the form of cash off or free shipping.

It's almost a game for me (don't make fun!) to see how much I can get off.... bummer if I can get nothing but it never hurts to try!

P.S. Code "asoslook" gets you 20% off at asos.com!

Chat with Celeste!

For those of you just tuning in Dear Celeste is the advice column run by Bargain Beauty Baby. "Celeste" originally suggested that you send in an email at bargainbeautybaby@gmail.com. But now, BBB is pleased to announce that a chat has been posted at the bottom of the right column. If Celeste is online, shoot her a question! If not send it anyway and she'll get it as soon as she logs back in! She'll bend over backwards trying to find the answer if it's not just as simple as remixing your existing wardrobe or adding a little jazz to something already gorgeous. Dear Celeste is not an attempt to pass as the authority of all things fashion because that is NOT the case. Celeste can look a hot mess on any day of the week. We just have a knack for finding little stores and sites and looks for that special occasion that special person. Send a pic via email or a question via chat and I'll tailor that answer or concern to your style. Your look. Your gorgeous face. Did I say me? I meant Celeste. And besides, it doesn't have to be a right/wrong outfit query. It could simply be something like "Where can I find a good deal on oxford boots or Nike Shox?" Or "What's the difference between wet-look and liquid leggings?".

I might have failed you....

Lovely reader, I got three packages in the mail yesterday. Which is a record AND felt very much like Christmas. I tore through the first and found Marc by Marc Jacobs sunglasses that I "accidentally" bought myself for my birthday on eBay. ($40 less than retail). The second a gift from my significant other. And third- the black and white skirt from modcloth.com featured on February's "Not all cute things were born at Forever 21" posting. Despite the colorful tissue paper, neat packaging, $5 off coupon and free pair of earrings (nice, but ridiculously large- not my style) I'm almost insulted by the bells & whistles from ModCloth because the actual product that I paid $40 for was.... UNDERwhelming. What appeared to be a flowy skirt with a black background and vibrant white flowers online, translated to a faded looking almost iron-on like pattern when held up to the light in my dorm room that I eyed with borderline disgust. Unfortunately, I'm now eyeing this octupus ring but can't bring myself to order from them again. So I'm gonna leave it up to you dear reader. If you find something that you simply can't live without on ModCloth and end up ordering it, let me know how your experience is. Until then... my wallet is closed! Sorry if I led you wrong. I'll do my best never to fail you again....

Salivating Over....

I've told you: I'm into skirts. I think they're extremely underrated and can chic up any 'drobe or take a plain jane and transform her into a smart stylista with the right pattern and cut. Thus I'm salivating over skirts from ASOS right now. One thing I love about ASOS and I don't think I've mentioned this before but you can see each skirt and dress move, as they have a runway clip of each one. Countless times, I've decided not to buy something based on the way it moved down the special asos clip runway. (Indicated cheap fabric, or lack of flow, or ended up being straight up ugly on a human being).

But. These RO's are what I'm salivating over right now. Everything's under $60 which is quite more than I'm used to spending on a skirt. Actually double. My max is $30 but we can only dream. Speaking of dreaming, I'm dreaming about the "Bang Bang Boom" dress by Betsey Johnson and will never get to wake up from that dream and make it a reality because it's dang near $400. But anyway, I personally couldn't pull it off but I have some friends that could like the glamazons that they are. And might just be able to afford it....

Dear Celeste.....

Okay, to my dismay, I haven't done a good job of updating and posting these past few days but that's just because I am patiently allowing all my thoughts and ideas to stop going crazy like a child with too much sugar in their system (or me with a superior online sale) and form solid notions for the progression of this site. So! I've decided, to figure out how to make this a 3 column blog and have a column for "advice"- thus, an advice column... "Dear Celeste". Don't ask me who Celeste is.. I haven't the slightest clue. But anyway, I don't want to come off as the "know all, end all voice of fashion" because that's not what I'm attempting, BUT I do feel that I have considerable "knowledge" to lend. So.... wanna know what to wear on a hote date for less than $50 bucks? Shoot me an email! I'll post it. Wanna know the best clothing styles for your body shape? I'll hook you up! So email bargainbeautybaby@gmail.com.

I'll post some RO's later.
If you love it, tell a friend. If you don't, tell me. I'll listen.

Embrace it, Don't Fake It.

I used to be a huge fan of knock-offs. I got my first "Louis Vuitton" in seventh grade and kept on a faking year after year. It wasn't until recently that I read an article about the replica industry and how it is actually really horrible for the people in who China make them, specifically young children. I won't go into detail because this blog is supposed to be fun and fabulous but I just say that because I've made a transition in my life and realize that if you can't afford it, getting a cheap knock-off isn't the answer. You can get a bag equally as fabulous as a Balenciaga without breaking the bank. I notice people's random patterned totes and sexy leather bags more than I do a logo'd bag in a heartbeat. So these pics above and below are an example of how to embody the fabulousness of a couture with college money. Couture/College. (Sounds like a recurring theme to me) The ruffled dress is a $6, 400 vintage Giorgio Armani (found on thefrock.com) . It's sexy counterpart is $43 dress from fashionjunkee.com. It comes in a bajillion colors and is PERFECT for a hot date or night on the town. Or if you're like me, trying on in your dorm room when you're bored and wearing while you watch 30 Rock. Hey, no ones judging. So go ahead! Get that sophisticated swagger - the world is your oyster, go grab yourself a pearl!

RO Alert! All cute things were not born at Forever 21!

I love finding websites that not a ton of people know about. But then again once I put them on here the secrets out. Not that a ton of people read this anyway. I'm in this phase where I subscribe to the belief that every item I buy is "building my wardrobe" so I don't buy t-shirts anymore but have been known recently to buy some fifties style skirts. I love a printed skirt with a sold color top and great heel! BUT hey ladies, everything doesn't have to come from Forever 21. Lord knows 75% of my 'drobe is but I'm trying to branch away. As much as I love walking out with multiples of that iconic yellow sack with that bold black print it's getting ridiculous. (Sidenote: Forever 21 hooked me not just on the cute clothes but on the "John 3:16" printed on the bottom of the sack. I feel good giving my money to folks who believe just like me) If you wanna be a little more unique here's another website that I love. It's kind of hit or miss but they have some great vintagey pieces. MODCLOTH.com. It's not necessarily expensive, it runs the gammet in the price department, but the pieces are detailed and tailored and give you a unique shopping experience that's worth a couple of extra dollars.

Fire your stylist! Oscar's Mess

Uhh as soon as I saw Beyonce's dress I knew it HAD to be House of Dereon... and I was right! C'mon sister girl! Stop letting your mama sew you these tight dresses. We got it!!!! You have curves! Enough all ready! Not to mention Beyonce attempts to wear GOLD any chance you she gets! If you like it then put a gold ring on it(your ring finger, a wedding tattoo is not hot).. oh oh uh oh! But Beyonce isn't the only child of repetition. Heidi Klum suffers from this too. Heidi! Heidi! Heidi! Stop wearing red! It's okay to branch out... and if you MUST wear the same color you wore last year, at least choose a dress that's pretty. You did it last year... what's the problem? Make it work! (Shout out, Tim Gunn) Speaking at Tim Gunn... what would he say about Vanessa Hudgens trying to be the Little Mermaid at a funeral?

First Oscar Bit... Gotta love these!

I'm SUH-WOMPED with homework right now but HAVE to give you a least a little bit of Oscar chit-chat. I was overall intrigued by the beauty of the dresses but heavens(!) why were there so many look-a-like? I know what a "trend" is but that doesn't mean everyone should show up wearing the same damn thing! Maybe it's because there's a shortage of stylist after the Globes but nonetheless it was a night of duplication. Beyonce (on my least faves list) and Halle both in black in gold. Everyone trying to recreate their wedding day with huge white dresses (Penelope Cruz did it well, Sarah Jessica Parker: not so much). My favorites were:Penelope Cruz, Taraji P. Henson, Marisa Tomei, and Miley Cyrus. But they are all in the same color scheme! :( Oh well, glam is glam and these lovely ladies did it right! BBB Award for Best Dressed!

RO ALERT! Oscars!

Whoever styled some of the hot mess that was paraded around the Golden Globes was obviously fired because for the most part the Oscars were a show of fabulousity that made me happy. The dresses full of glam glitz and confection-like tulle volume were a show of style, elegance and grace. That doesn't mean there wasn't some serious sad misses but the O's were such an UPGRADE from the hot tranny mess that was the Globes.

Recent Obsession

I'll just tell ya. Obsession is not a word I like to use because it makes me feel out of control but I am kind of obsessed with asos.com, based out of London. I'm also obsessed with the idea of having RO's as a regular part of this newly- my- fave- thing- in- life- blog. ASOS has fantastic sales and generally low prices for the chic clothing they carry and I don't believe the shipping is astronomical. Maybe even in accordance with what we normally pay in the good ol' U S of A. My current RO? This pleated dress from the site that is on sale for a "only" $42.34. I'm sorry but that's just bat nuts crazy for a dress that's bat nuts cute. But in case you haven't assumed, we're peachy keen with crazy! In fact we praise it. Anywho, I'm a magazine junkie and come across marvelous little nuggets of fashion goodness such as cheap deals, stores or just a mind boggling low price. I smell plenty of RO's in our future.

Can I tell you a secret?

I have champagne taste on Kool-Aid money. Honestly, no wait. Sometimes I have that champagne money but am seriously too cheap to get off of it. My heart beats faster when I walk into a store that has endless possibilities. My heart beats even faster when I walk to a store with no possibilites and emerge with the chicest skirt or the cheapest most versatile piece imaginable. I wanna blog and show fantastic things that don't have to blow the budget or make you choose between a dynamic dinner or a deluxe dress. I don't want you to live off Ramen trying to look cute. I know I certainly don't. Let's keep it that way.

Nervoso

Yes, I'm nervous. Blogging is so simple and it's essentially a journal that I don't have to cramp my hand writing- I attempted a journal a few months ago and cranked out a whopping two pages because the pain was simply a hot mess. I know it should be no pressure but I want you- whoever is reading this- to come back. To enjoy. To find me funny, cheeky and maybe even witty. I'm a smart girl who considers herself to have style. No matter what my IQ or SAT score, at the end of the day all I wanna do is read an InStyle Magazine (with a hot beverage in a cute mug). Tell ME what you want to see. Ask me questions about your style. I'm here for you, as long as you're HERE for me. Ya hear me?
